Important Orchestra Reminders

We are half way through the first week of school and exciting things are happening! We have had an eventful three days of instrument assignments, locker assignments, tuning, and review. I have enjoyed meeting each of the students and I am very excited for the year ahead of us! I just wanted to send out a few important reminders/information:

  1. Please make sure you have read over the Orchestra syllabus, blanket permission form, calendar, and Booster Club letter. The Syllabus acknowledgement and blanket permission form are due back to me by this Friday, August 5th.
  2. Orchestra dues- every student participating in Orchestra is asked to pay annual Orchestra dues of $150 for one child and $75 for each additional child. This money is used for uniforms, clinicians, equipment, repairs, and any additional funding necessary to keep the orchestra program going. To best plan our budget for the year, we ask that dues be paid as soon as possible. Dues may either be paid all at once or using the payment plan discussed in the KOBA welcome letter. Dues may be paid by bringing cash/check to the orchestra room with the bottom half of the letter OR online via PayPal using the email address kellorchestra@gmail.com. We understand not every family is able to pay dues at this time. If that is the case, please speak with Mrs. Fuchs or email kellorchestra@gmail.com so that KOBA can plan their budget accordingly.
  3. IMPORTANT UPCOMING DATES: please make sure you have these dates marked on your calendar!
    • Fiddle Fest Boot Camp- Thursday, August 11th, 4pm-8pm (students only). REQUIRED for Concert Orchestra. Students will be provided pizza and a drink for dinner. Please let me know of any food allergies.
    • Fiddle Fest-  Thursday, August 25th, 6pm in the Auditorium. The first performance of the year! All parents encouraged to attend.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns! Please feel free to reach out to me via email at jessica.fuchs@cobbk12.org OR kellorchestra@gmail.com.

Thank you for all you do to support your student!!
